We live in a world where beauty is often associated with appearances (face, body, skin etc.). Similarly, fragnance is associated with perfumes, deodrants etc.
In this blog post, I would like to offer a different perspective to these existing believes. I want to take you beyond these surface definitions and offer a different, more human perspective on what I believe real beauty and real fragrance truly mean. Feel free to disagree with me, if you wish.
Beauty
Beauty isn’t skin deep — it’s heart deep. It’s not just about perfect features or flawless skin. Real beauty, I believe is in the heart. It’s in the way someone carries themselves, the way they care for people, the way they light up a room not with their face, but with their kindness.
Have you ever met someone whose presence made you feel safe, valued, or inspired — even if you couldn’t explain why? That’s because true beauty is a reflection of what’s inside. A beautiful heart shines through words, actions, and intentions. Do you remember the last time someone made you feel special or spoke some kind words? That’s again a refelection of their inner beauty.
It shapes how a person treats others, how they sympathise for someone’s pain. When was the last time someone’s goodness made them unforgettable to you?
Actionable tips: Look for inner beauty before outer beauty. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The grass looks green on the other side.
Fragrance
And fragrance — the real kind — isn’t bottled. It’s in the way someone speaks. The tone of their voice, the words they choose, the gentleness or honesty in their conversations — that’s what truly attracts or repels us. A person can use the most expensive perfume, but if their words are harsh or insincere it leaves an invisible stain. On the other hand, someone’s warmth, sincerity, and sweet speech can linger in your memory longer than any scent ever could.
Remember the last time someone spoke to you with such kindness that it made your day lighter? That’s a fragrance you can’t buy and one that leaves a trail not in the air, but in the heart.
Actionable tip(s): Pay attention to the fragrance of words. A kind, sincere voice leaves a deeper, longer-lasting impression than any expensive perfume.
